Coronet Peak in collaboration with QAST (Queenstown Alpine Ski Team) has developed a progressive and integrated approach to skiing terrain and alpine racing on the Queenstown mountains. Coaches work with children aged 6 to 12 years to develop essential skiing skills through a combination of activation techniques, terrain skiing, drills, gate training and lots of fun. The goal of the programme is to gain confidence on skis, starting a pathway to becoming a good and accomplished skier.

Join us for a fun and progressive programme, focused on skill development, with an aim to create lifelong and passionate skiers and ski racers. 

The program is suitable for:

  • Ages:6-12 years
  • Ability Levels: Participants must be able to make controlled turns on intermediate terrain and ride a T-bar lift

Details:

  • The daily Schedule runs from 8:30am to 2:30pm
  • Lunch from 11:30-12:15 (unsupervised), please ensure snacks and water are available for breaks
  • Parent information day 9th July 2:30pm in the training room at Coronet Peak. East and West – follow signage.
  • Lift pass sold separately - we recommend a 3 Peak Season Pass.

  • 12 days of coaching, split into four blocks of three days over the July school holidays
  • 9 - 11 July
  • 13 - 15 July
  • 17 - 19 July
  • 21 - 23 July
  • Branded & personalized hoodie
  • Coached participation in the Schools Parallel Slalom race on 23rd July. Please register through www.snowsports.co.nz/register
