Is your child keen to learn what alpine racing is all about? Have them join us over the July school holidays for the Secondary Schools Race Training Camp. Over the course of four days, we will foster their love of skiing while they build confidence on the snow. We will ski a multitude of terrain and train with and without race equipment.

This programme starts from the basics and moves through a quick progression with consecutive days of training with the same coach. We will set small courses to get a feel for going around gates as well as ski lumps and bumps off-piste to encourage skilled and thoughtful skiing.

This programme is great for students who are thinking about or are entered in the Otago-Southland Secondary Schools Championship or the South Island Secondary School Championships.

Dates:

  • 17 - 20 July

The programme is suitable for:

  • Ages: 12-17 years
  • Ability Levels: Participants must be able to make controlled turns on intermediate terrain and ride a T-bar

Details:

  • Daily Training Schedule from 8:30am to 2:30pm
  • Lunches 11:30-12:15 (unsupervised), please ensure snacks and water are available for break times
  • Parent information day 9th July 2:30pm in the Coronet Peak training room East and West – follow signage
  • Lift Pass sold separately – we recommend multi-day pass (available during Earlybird) or 3 Peak Season Pass.

Includes:

  • 4 days of coaching with the same coach
  • Gate training, set environment

Daily Schedule:

  • 9:00am on snow warm up
  • 9:15 – 11:30 Coaching
  • 11:30 – 12:15 Unsupervised lunch break, please be sure to have snacks and water for break times.
